Susanne Lindner talks to Colloquium about Careers outside Academia

Dipl. Soz. Susanne Lindner spoke in Heather Hofmeister’s Research Colloquium on January 26, 2012 to Sociology students at the Goethe University, Frankfurt, on “The Future of Market Research from the Viewpoint of a Sociologist in the Industry.” About 40 students attended and enjoyed a lively presentation and discussion about what market research is doing and what kinds of skills and interests are important to have if one is considering working in this branch. Susanne Lindner works for Research now as a Team Leader for the German Data Delivery Services Team in London. She started working for Research Now in 2008 as a Project Executive, but due to her talent and drive was promoted to Project Manager in April 2010. In February 2011 she took on a new role as Team Leader for the Panel Solutions Team in London.  With a continuous growth in team members in the German Team, Susanne then switched to become Team Leader of the Data Delivery Services Team in July 2011.

Susanne has a degree in Sociology from the University of Bamberg which included an exchange year at the National University of Galway Ireland. During her university studies, Susanne worked at the Department for Sociology at the University of Bamberg. Her tasks included supporting the researchers of the Globalife project and everything connected with the curriculum and teaching. She also gained first market research experiences via an internship at TNS Bielefeld.
